Interesting Thought of the Day

Years ago, at the dentists office, I read a story in Reader's Digest about a
small town (cannot remember the name) in TX. There were 2 people in the
town, an elderly black woman and a mildly retarded man, I believe, that were
on Welfare. The town leaders decided that these 2 people should work for
that money and gave them the little park in the town square to take care of.
They kept the flower beds weeded, the lawn mowed, the walks swept and
the park benches painted plus picked up litter. Well, all was well until
someone called the ACLU. You guessed it. They sued and the judge
declared that it was unconstitutional for the people to have to work for that
money. Well, the 2 people were told that they no longer had to take care of
the park but they continued to take care of it on their own.
Jobs that Americans won't do?
