"We Will Violate Their Civil Rights" Threat Against Texas Polygamists Well Documented

It is odd how few have come to their defense. How no columnists on WND or Townhall.com have commented on the subject. I think it may even be an anti-Mormon thing - though they aren't Mormon. And you're right - I don't see them storming into Islamberg. If we don't protect their civil rights, then who will protect ours?

child abuse
This article is ridiculous; to marry a child is absurd. People who lived in the bible days had to marry and have children at an early age because they died when they were in their 20's the life expectancy was young. HELLO we are in the year 2008 we are expected to live well beyond our 70th birthday! Why steal a childhood from any girl and tell her life is only worth what her husband has to offer, every child disserves to have dreams and they disserve to live a life full of happiness and accomplishment. To deprive a child of a prosperous life full of opportunity is abuse! When a girl is 13 how would you think having sex with a man who is 50 feels? ya its good for him! This life style is all about the man, and guess what the "LEADER" is also a man hmm I wonder why??

??? You distort the bible and take it in a way that justifies your outrageous behaviour. The young girl was quoted as saying that she was told main stream society will force her to have sex with multiple men, wear make up and do a few other things, this you say is true well my friend I will let you in on a little secret IM A GIRL I don’t wear makeup and Iv only slept with one man.so would you like to rephrase your comments? I’m assuming that you are also a man writing this? I would love to speak to a young woman in your group that is not in the company of her "HUSBAND" or is that not allowed?? Are you afraid to educate your young women out of fear for they may leave? They just might realize that their life can be more then sex with an old pervert and children.

As a main stream society yes there is a lot of corruption and problems but we are giving out children a chance to decide for them selves, we are giving them the right to decide if they want a future! you people are stealing that opportunity and you see nothing wrong with it, we will see who gets persecuted on judgment day the mainstream family who gives support, love and the opportunities of a future or the old man who slept with a 13 year old got her pregnant at 14 and confined her to a life with no apparent purpose except to satisfy his need to create a regime.

I've Only Slept With One Man
To the "girl" who said:
"I've only slept with one man."
Are you married? If you are not married then you are a harlot for having sex outside of marriage.
After Shechem took Dinah without the benefit of marriage he was said to have taken her as a harlot. This is the first case in the Bible where the word harlot is defined:
Genesis 34:31 And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?
If you are a "girl" who has married then it's odd that you would condemn another "girl" for marrying.
Need I ask whether there are any CPS workers reading this? Where is the CPS when you need them. You better trace this "girl's" identity, raid her home and rip the children from the arms of all her neighbors whild you're at it. You said that you are a girl and the you have "slept with one man" so by your own logic, that "man" has committed a crime for a man by your definition is someone who is NOT underage. Someone go arrest this girl's man, please.
"Marry a child" - by definition, a child cannot get pregnant.
"People who lived in the Bible days had to marry and have children at an early age because they died when they were in their 20s."
What a crock! You obviously don't read the Bible. People were living well beyond one hundred years and God limited their years to one hundred and twenty.
Genesis 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
"The young girl was quoted."
Here we see the oxymoron again. A girl cannot get pregnant. The non-existent woman was a young woman. We have evidence already that the story was made up. The man she claimed abused her had not even been in Texas during the years she claimed that he was there.

We must seek the truth
I agree that it was harsh to remove all those children amd haul them off like that. I also understand that your religion has framed the way you think. When I was reading another article of yours about marriage, I did not know that you were of a polygamist sect - I will be married soon so I was looking for Christian articles on marriage. But while I was reading, I began to feel perturbed about certain terms used in the article. Honestly I began to wonder who had written that article.
The bible says that "Jesus came not to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved".
Jesus came to save EVERYONE in the world. It is by the grace of God that we are saved, not by doing works. We are also the light of the world. Jesus did not teach us to close ourselves up in our own little world and call people who sin "whores".

Perfect love casts out fear. When we are not really perfected in love, we live in fear and revert to living in the LAW. Those who live in the Law resort to drastic measures to prevent themselves from sinning instead of living by faith in Jesus who then by the power of His death and resurrection delivers us from the hold of sin.
An example would be muslim men making their women cover up from head to toe in order to contain or prevent lust from running rampant.
It is God that delivers us from the power of sin. I became a born again Christian a few years ago, after a dramatic encounter with God. Although a Catholic at the time, I did not know anything about being born-again. I didnt know I had to be. I recieved the Holy Spirit who taught me many things( still does ). I found that I no longer had the urge to do my usual sins. Sins that I had tried so hard to stop in the past, suddenly and easily fell away! I became a modest dresser, became kind and loving, and began to preach the word of God to people. I've been celibate ever since. Also, I have met many people who have had the same experience.

So you see, it is not true that if one of you comes out into the main society that those things you mentioned would happen. It all depends on if you belong to Jesus or not. We HAVE TO share the love of Jesus with others.
The problem with people who live under the law is that they dont know about the mercy of God. If they did, they would understand that ALL men are sinners, and that it is by the grace of God that ANY are saved. When God saves us, one of the reasons we are left here is to spread the truth to others.
Tell me, how are the members of that sect able to do that? Instead they are more concerned about "being fruitful and multiply". Yes, it is God's commandment, but it is one that can be accomplished with one man and one woman, like adam and eve or Noah and his wife. From them we have the whole world. So to insist that to have multiple wives is THE way, is to promote error and deception. If it was THE way, God would have given adam other women. Please do not model your life after the old testament jews. We live a life of the Spirit. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

So my question is, are your ways borne out of the Spirit, or are you still in the flesh, coming up with rules and regulations so that you can keep the Law? Is the Law of God written in your hearts or are you having to enforce things to keep everyone on the straight and narrow? Do you love your fellow man enough to come to where he is in order to SAVE him for God?
Once again, If you attempt to live the Christian life without adhereing to the Spirit but instead set up your own traditions, you will always revert to the Law. You will not be able to help yourself. This has happened to many Christiian sects.
Like you, I am dismayed with the acts of many so-called christians. I believe the ideal is potrayed in ACTS of the apostles.
I've heard a sermon that one of FDLS sects leaders gave saying the most terrible things about blacks (it may have been Warren Jeffs.
A lot of people think Jesus was white. The Jews of today are mixed with european blood, but if you want to know what Jesus looked like, check out the phillitines who never left the area. They are not black but they are kind of swarthy, arent day?. So what if, on that last day God will cast people away from Him because they hated blacks due to a false story about them being "representatives of Satan"? Can this story be backed up? Who first told it? Please note that the ethiopian eunuch that phillip converted and baptised was a black man!
As I learnt when I began to know God, it is not that we are born into a certain sect that makes us saved, but that we acknowledge that we are sinners and that we need Jesus.
Are you really in the faith?

FLDS Doctrines
There are plenty of organizations that are already criticizing the doctrines of the FLDS as well as the mainstream Mormons, but that is not my ministry. My ministry is focused on taking the mote out of my fellow Christians eyes There is hypocrisy within the ranks of Christianity concerning chastity and morality as I have pointed out. We must first take the mote out of our own eye. It is the Christian world, and in particular, the Western Christian world that has the highest number of harlots (women who are not virgins although they have never been married) among our ranks. How can any Christian in good conscience criticize anyone else's marriage practices until they correct their own marriage practices and that means requiring men (married or not) to marry the virgins they deflower. This is in keeping with Exodus 22:16
Exodus 22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
When the churches start enforcing this verse, and that requires that they accept the polygamy that will result, I will start taking the mote out of the eyes of other religions.
God bless your Bible studies.

Bearing false testimony against me?
From my novel, Prince of Sumba, Husband to Many Wives. You can find it on Amazon.com "Cherry is a reformed harlot." The following is copyright Don Milton 2009 All Rights Reserved
Cherry's face reddened as she screeched like a mother whose child has pushed her over the brink.
"You bought those clothes! Don't you know that you chose to remain a wh*re? Wasn't it enough for you to hate the man who raped you? No, your hatred was nothing compared to your envy and you became like him!" Cherry stomped on the stage. The sound system hummed with the reverberation.
Screams now filled the courtyard.
"Yes! You're right!"
"Yes! I did it!"
The walls of the apartment buildings that surrounded us echoed with howls of repentance. It sounded hellish but it was heavenly.
Cherry's voice, now soothing, sang through the broken cries of hundreds of repentant sinners.
"Here is what I want you to do. I want each of you to come down here. You're not going back to those bars. You belong to Jesus now. The worthless wh*re hunters that have found out
you're absent from work today; they don't love you. They don't even love themselves or why would they believe they're only worthy of a wh*re? They're fools. Over the next few hours I'll help you to understand the joy of salvation that I have. I'll help you to understand that Jesus loves you and gave Himself for you so that you might have life and have it abundantly. If you plan to go back to the streets, leave now."
Nobody left. Still, Cherry didn't let up.
"Here is what you need to know."
She spoke forcefully but no longer shouted.
"Repent! Turn from your sins and turn to God. Be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord."

Child Abuse?
More than a year later and the fact remains. Compared to the outside world the Texas FLDS polygamists are saintlike in their treatment of children.
As an Evangelical Christian I am ashamed of those who have claimed over the last 16 months to be part of the Christian community but jumped on the mob mentality of screaming child abuse where there was none. When will they realize that they are controlled by their taboo against polygamy? Who is really controlling them? Is God controlling someone when they rush to judgement?
