WHAT DOES THE ROCKLIN SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND SENATOR BARACK OBAMA HAVE IN COMMON?

Thanks for alerting those of us new to the Roseville / Rocklin area to the arrogance of the local school district officials. As a private home-schooling step-father, I can attest to the lengths to which the government-run, union-controlled school officials will try in order to influence our children's education. Both my parents were teachers and I attended public schools through college, but there is no arguing that the entire NEA agenda has lurched hard-left over the past 30 years.

Where the UC system is trying to get permission to have complete oversight to consider science and other classes taught without using the mandated state books to not count as academic enough for UC admittance. (The case is currently in court) Where every session the Assembly makes some attempt to bring in government oversight of private schools and where just last spring the California Supreme Court tries to use a 1920 ruling to state that home schooling was illegal....good post, we (and I speak as a teacher) must keep vigilant on abuses of power such as this.

We need someone like John McCain as President. He will stand up to the teacher's union. McCain believes in school choice.

We need to keep the teacher's union out of our schools. We also need to keep the liberal California Legislature out of our schools.
