prediction: ayers
bringing up ayers is not mudslinging.
barack obama may well lose this election, and if he does, it will be because of john mccain's strategy of raising yet another radical obama tie, the mother of them all, that ties up all his radical ties with a bow, and which can easily stand up to accusations of racism hurled by the obama campaign workers in the media.
this is not about race. it is about the obama menu for the nation.

Hey there!
Yes, I am sick of this election.
Hey, don't want to leave out the tears in New Hampshire. Remember that one? The pantsuit rocked. Remember Bill saying that he knew Hillary wouldn't win Iowa anyway? I remember 150 years ago when it all started. Hillary and Rudy were supposed to be the top picks. That worked out, didn't it. The hot topic was Iraq.
Between Edwards, Hillary, Bill, Obama, Michelle, blah...blah....Pelosi...Reid...Frank...Kennedy...blah...blah...stupid Hollywood people....blah...blah....Richardson and the lame moustache...blah...blah...Biden - comments....complain that he is never asked questions in the debate...blah...blah...hope...change....hope some more....change some more....Bill - he played the race card on me....blah...blah...Jesse Jackson....blah...blah...blah...Obama has no record....senator for half a second....blah....blah....Edwards again and again...and soon no friends....bitter Americans clinging to their guns and religion...Rev Wright and the gang....sat there for 20 years and had no clue....the Audacity of Hope...Oprah loves him...tears of joy...racism...stop the madness now!
How could we forget Romney...pick him as VP....no Lieberman....no Romney....could it be Bloomberg....pick someone...Bush did it...Bush did it again...blame Bush....and keep it going...what happened to Rudy...Iraq...gas prices...oil..foreclosures...wall street...the doomsday scenario...the snooze fest debates...hockey moms...
Is it over yet? Did somebody win?

the polls ARE tightening. this is VERY bad news for obama, as it looks like he's losing his momentum going right into the home stretch.
let's see the media spin THAT.
by the way, sue, you are THE ONE of this blog post! One Dream, One Pantsuit!
sue and kev, thank you for ending this conversation between me and myself! sue, have a pantsuit handy in case obama manages to hang onto his now-narrowing lead. really not looking forward to dragging myself through this last debate!

it's a good reason for all those things. i'm not too sure it's a good reason for either

good point. My mom and I donate food to our local food pantry every Thanksgiving. Our local grocery stores hand out shopping lists as you walk in and you can pick things up from the lists and drop them in the box on your way out.
It's a nice system.
And my work does Toys for Tots and does "Gift Trees" for the Salvation Army.
We can help one another WITHOUT the government sticking their nose in it.

if you don't know how to balance the budget, say so, and let someone else try. what we're striving for is an economy that doesn't collapse.

One question I have (and this may be me being stereotypical here) is what kind of ACTUAL CHARITIES are the Obamas involved with?
Cindy McCain helps children with cleft lips and palettes.
Laura Bush is overseas helping Middle Eastern women get mammograms.
Lynne Chaney is writing books for kids about our Nation's history (Laura and Jenna Bush authored a book to encourage reading in children and Jenna wrote a book about a girl with HIV).
The list of other charities they are involved in is long.
What have Michele and Barrack Obama done for people whom are NOT minorities? I have YET to hear about charity work. Not attending functions for cancer or AIDs research, going to the south to help with hurricane and tropical storm clean up or funding...nothing.
What compassion have they shown to anyone other than minorities?
You want to represent the US? You represent ALL OF US.

you know, i'll see what i can find on the web for obama, hang on.
http://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/998-barak-obama
http://www.city-data.com/forum/2008-presidential-election/3 59536-obamas-charitable-giving-start-contrast-mccains.html
from this blog, or whatever it is: In 2002, the year before Obama launched his campaign for U.S. Senate, the Obamas reported income of $259,394, ranking them in the top 2 percent of U.S. households, according to Census Bureau statistics. That year the Obamas claimed $1,050 in deductions for gifts to charity, or 0.4 percent of their income. The average U.S. household totaled $1,872 in gifts to charity in 2002, according to the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University...
The national average for charitable giving has long hovered at 2.2 percent of household income, according to the Glenview-based Giving USA Foundation, which tracks trends in philanthropy. Obama tax returns dating to 1997 show he fell well below that benchmark until 2005, the year he arrived in Washington.
Both Obama and his wife, Michelle, declined to respond to questions about their charitable donations.

what really is striking about that is
that joe biden's strained relationship with the catholic church as it exists in its arguably purest theological form, meaning the pope and scholars of canon law in the hierarchy... well, such a strained relationship might explain why biden doesn't want to give his charitable dollars to charity. why turn the dollars over to people he's clearly at odds with?
meaning, i wonder if we're not looking at a snapshot of a larger issue, a bias against religious that manifests itself in a clear preference for increased government involvement and decreased religious involvement.

to raise. I mean...think about it.
Obama wants to "spread the wealth around" but what about his? And I've heard about Joe Biden's less than charitiable history. (and how he used campaign funds to landscape his property)
The Obama collectively bring home somewhere around $350K a year, and Michele complains that it is hard to raise two children on that.
Try raising just one on around $30K a year with paying your student loans, car payment, and everything else. I do it. And I'm educated and went to a private/catholic college for part of my education. But I don't complain. I make do with what I have and live within my means because I'm striving for greater things and greater things take time and steps.
She also complained that the $600 stimilus package was barely enough to buy a pair of earrings. I didn't spend my stimulus package on things I don't need. I paid an extra principal on my car, bought my son new clothes, and a nice fish tank for his bedroom (he loves the one at the pediatrician).
I feel that the Obamas are completely out of touch and elitists.

Liberals whish to mandate charity when conservatives do it willingly. It is rather telling of their mindset. They know they are not charitable and therefore, feel that all are likeminded and therefore charity must be enforced.

I don't know WHAT debate they were watching, but it CLEARLY was not the same one I was watching with an energized McCain who absolutely put Obama in his place on income redistribution, brought up fantastic points about how you can't just assume that throwing money at failed education will improve it, and the problems with Obama's healthcare system (and I like how he brought up Canada and the UK's having so many issues).

I am a woman and I did not support Hillary Clinton.
Therefore I am mean, evil and sexist.
I do not support Obama.

I thought McCain was not mean and nasty, but finally called Obama on his ridiculous policies.
Therefore I am mean and nasty myself.
Can anybody have an opinion besides the Democrats? We Senator Gaffe running around Ohio, if of course they let him out of Scranton. Spending campaign money for whatever.
Murtha screaming racist...Mahoney having affairs up the ying-yang....Colin Powell just a hop, skip and a jump from endorsing Obama (or whatever they keep saying)...and talking trash constantly on Governor Palin...Frank and Dodd just telling us how wonderful Fannie and Freddie are and throw in their spawn child Sallie Mae...and all is well in the world.
This has gone so far beyond reality, I am not sure where I even am half the time. I am sick of Obama, Biden, Michelle, Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, Frank, Dodd, and the MSM.

Beltway Girl/Ayers Can't Come
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln rescinded its speaking invitation tonight for 1960s radical-turned-educator William Ayers.
University officials cited "safety reasons" for canceling Ayers' Nov. 15 appearance.
Spokeswoman Kelly Bartling declined to elaborate on what safety concerns would keep Ayers from addressing a College of Education and Human Sciences event.
Earlier today, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman strongly condemned the invitation and called on the NU Board of Regents and President J.B. Milliken to block it.
I saw this last night on Greta. The governor was saying out the alumni were going to take back donations and parents were going to pull their students out if he came and spoke.
Don't forget he knows about urban education.

By the way, did you see the garbage in the New York Times about Cindy McCain. What a piece of work that was. Junk! If they had done that on Michelle Obama, heads would have rolled.

no, the media does it for him.

So, here comes Obama with a background that would have outcasted any other candidate and they all say, this is nothing, but nasty attacks. Oh please! Nothing to see here, move along.
By the way off topic, Michelle Obama's dress that she wore to the last debate was hideous. No Jackie Kennedy here. I know I am being mean.

poor mccain. you know, there's so much squabbling over mccain's flaws, but he's running against a historic milestone. mccain's running against the first REALLY black president right now. i was just watching cnn, and they had the story tilted so as to suggest that in the same way you'll have people going out and voting for barack obama because he's black, you'll have some going out and opposing him because he's black. incredible! warm, cuddly ethnic pride versus the KKK, basically. how about some who vote against him because of his ideas and alliances? how about some who feel a vote based on skin color is just wrong no matter who's doing it or why?

I started to watch that show on CNN, not sure, but I turned it off. I can't really take anymore. I turned the tube off. I taped Hannity's America and will watch that tomorrow.
I am mean, you know that. I think Michelle dresses horribly. I did see pictures the other day again with the Clintons and Biden's. All of the matching blue was making my head swim!

I like the completely nuts network. That is a good one.
Speaking of nuts, I saw that ACORN video on Fox this morning. That was beautiful. It was from their convention in January 2008. First up is Maxine Waters (moron) talking about Bush is a failure....blah....blah...and then this Hispanic woman gets up who is very hard to understand and starts talking about how we need Obama and he is going to win. Wow - that was January 2008. No biased there. I guess they did not even want to give Hillary a chance.
The video made me ill. I want every tax dollar that went to those nuts back.

Funny you mention polls. Phone rang at my parents house. Hmmm.....anyone there between the ages of 18-25? Yes, that would be me. Like they know I am 43. Are you a registered Democrat? Why yes I am. Are you voting for Obama/Biden? Of course. Obama is so cool and handsome and Biden is such a character. Thank you and lie number 1,259.
Relatives in PA are getting hammered with polls. They keep telling the pollsters that Obama/Biden rock. Never in a million years would they vote for the guy. These are the people that switched parties to vote for Hillary. Many switched back, others have not gotten around to it.
I don't believe polls. I have lied so many times over the last few weeks. Shame on me!

I still keep emailing my crappity-assed lousy excuse of a Congressman asking when Daley is going to be prosectued for bulldozing Meigs Field. I loved flying into that strip. safe bullets! laughing... oxymoron! and yes, i repeated this to my mom today, and she and i were scratching our heads. "What is a 'safe bullet'?" also remembering mieg's field, and it was a very pretty place for the city. it's all very unfortunate.
you know, i think that is what scares me about obama, like the mieg's field kind of thing. it's this "change" thing. you know, you see these people out there, and i swear, they'd rearrange the candles on a birthday cake, all in the name of "making a difference." there's a lot of frustration out there, and a lot of anger. but "change" can do just as much harm as it does good. "in six days." this guy's an electrifying speaker. how mccain can keep up is... puzzling, sometimes. but i know myself that elections come down to issues and ideas, not personalities. i actually like mccain because he's more moderate, and he's a very likable guy, with an interesting story of his own. i think that going so, so, SO far left at this point in american history is not a good idea. whatever obama says about being on the right side of history. history decides what the right side is, and was. and sue, i'm heading over to the michael moore site right now. well, okay, maybe tomorrow. laughing... but the cindy sheehan angle has to be explored! nutville. but this is worse than going to the huffington post!
well, "in six days." and i'll be glad to see the whole thing over, i honestly will.
