The Arab Slaver

I am an American who happens to be black. I appreciate you printing the truth about the ignorance and hypocrisy of the so-called "Black Liberation Theology" and the persistent attacks on America for being duped into participating in the Arab slave trading of black Africans.

Early American merchants who sought to trade with North African coastal civilizations, were coerced into buying black Africans as slave labor by Muslim Arabs who controlled the trading stations during that time. Initially, European traders went to Africa in search of spices and other commodities. They were offered human slaves, almost as a condition for any other type of trading. They made a critical misjudgment when they decided to succumb to the pressure put upon them by Islamists to enter the slave trade. I make no apology for their partaking of it, but we are past that now and Americans have done more to try to right past wrongs than any other nation has even ever attempted to do.

Why we continue to harp on this, while Arab Islamists continue their atrocities upon black Africans, especially Christians, TO THIS DAY, is beyond my comprehension!!

I guess part of the answer lies in the fact that many among us feel there is power in continuing to benefit from white guilt in America, somehow taking comfort in a perpetual state of victimhood. Some, I fear, have become all-too-comfortable with receiving a guilt-induced crumb from "the master's table" than they are with being cut loose to stand up and be truly FREE!!

They fail to realize that they are willing slaves on a welfare plantation of their own making.

They are ignorant of their own history, but, sadly, are actively seeking to remain so.

It takes courageous people like you to keep telling the truth, no matter how fearful others are of hearing it. THANKS.
