God is at work in the GOP primaries
I agree with much of what you say.
But, I also think God has anointed Governor Mike Huckabee to lead this nation out of the widlerness of immorality and moral free fall.
And he is also using McCain for some good purpose
I am praying fervently for Huckabee's election.
It's going to be interesting to see God work this out to bless our nation at this critical point in our history

where you bible-thumpers going to go?
Because do you really think the secularists care about you and your God. Sure, the country belongs to all of us, but let the country slide leftward even more and you'll find out just where you people rank in the order of priorities. Your naivette borders on the ridiculous.

Bible thumpers?
The problem with secularist is that they believe, as their evangelical counterpart, that most people share their view--and yet at the SAME time, they claim victim status.
Strange.
As to your question, where do believers go? I suppose the same place where secularist go when the nation forgets God and the bible upon which the idea of rights given by God instead of humanity is based on, goes.
Hoss, chill. In this country you are free to believe in a higher power or not. You can move to the Left, the Right, or where most Americans reside, in the middle.
I am sorry that YOUR naivette bought the idea that "conservatives" ruled the nation or that a bunch of talk show mafia control the WH.
America really IS smarter than that.
How's this for reality? The party of REPUBLICANS...not conservatives, not Reaganites, not Libertarians, REPUBLICANS...CHOSE McCain to carry their standard.
Are you going to stand on the Right...with the ONLY viable party that is serious on the war?
Exactly what are YOUR priorities?

I can see Huckabee as VP and with an older McCain...yep, maybe 16 years total. Frankly, I don't think anyone saw McCain as the front runner...which is my point.
No other candidate could have brought out the hypocrisy of the talk show mafia like McCain. Yes, I know that the TSM went after Huckabee but sadly, most people are used to Christians being dissed and picked on.
McCain is an old timer...a genuine war hero...when they attacked him, most people went...ah wait a minute.
And the more we learned, the more we liked about McCain--and the more we lost respect for the TSM.
As I've said in previous posts...we HAVE to lose them. The TSM has caused more harm to the GOP than the MSM and we cannot afford to have the only viable party serious about the war become a minority.

GREAT BLOGS, including this one
I'm trying to appeal to people who traditionally relied a lot on "right-wing-talk-radio" hosts -- the big losers in yesterday's voting -- and to check out blogs that will discuss seriously John McCain's uphill campaign for the white house. Some of the extreme rightists are now endorsing Hillary Clinton, and they are no longer serious commenters on American politics. There are many blogs that don't endorse Hillary Clinton and are committed to the election of John McCain. Those are the ones serious conservatives and moderates should be visiting. Such blogs include http://McCainVictory08.com, http:Thepinkflamingo.blogharbor.com/blog, http://outsideofthebox.townhall.com, http://youngrepublican.townhall.com, http://camp2008victorya.blogspot.com, http://genxdad.townhall.com. Please visit and bookmark these sites. I'll be recommending additional sites on my blog (see below). Also, check out the John McCain for POTUS forum, to see a good exchange of views on the McCain campaign.

McCain, No Tancredo He
Sanity, this is a big issue right now for McCain: what to do about the "talk-show-right." I am leaning toward his not doing much. The far-right types appealed to by Limbaugh and Ingraham are an extremely small group. Their candidates were Hunter, Tancredo, Gilmore, and Fred Thompson. In many of the primaries, these candidates -- combined -- got 3% to 4% of the vote. Their total LACK of support was almost creepy. McCain's appeal is to moderate Republicans, Independents, and "Reagan Democrats." That may not be enough to win, but McCain will not -- and should not -- try to turn himself into Tom Tancredo. In national polls, McCain runs slightly ahead of Hillary Clinton and about equal to the "flavor of the month," Obama. As you know, I want a Republican Party that contains more "normal" Americans and fewer Ingraham and Hewitt types. That transformation won't take place overnight.

Actually Steve,
Obama is having a BIG problem trying to garner the Hispanic vote...his advisors are telling him that is why he lost California.
Blacks, on the whole, don't vote (neither do many Hawaiians or other minorities.) Asians, Seniors and teachers do (which is why these groups are formable voting blocks).
Now, we are seeing a huge rise in Hispanic voters--and that is keeping Clinton alive. Obama may have the Black vote, but Clinton's big gains are in Hispanic heavy states and Hispanics vote.
Steve, what people don't get is that most of the legals they know had the money to come here...but if there are 12 million illegals, better believe they have friends and family.
You do the math.
