The Career Flush?

The navy will never be the same.

Commander Dickerson is NUTS. The idea that all those men are supposed to act with dignity and honor after months on (or under?) the high seas, and treat the 'ladies' there like ladies ought to be treated is ridiculous?
maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I think this is asking for such big trouble. (and quite an income for the kind of girl described here who was a prostitute!) Will it then be the officers' faults?

Career Flush II

Then, there's the story of Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean. The corporal is accused of killing the pregnant Marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, the one that has accused him of rape and was possibly carrying his child. The latest is he's been caught and it may take months to get him back into the US in order for him to stand trial; because, Mexico will want to have a guarantee he won't be executed and it remains to be seen whether the DA in the case will want to give that up.

Bad apples slip in through a variety of paths. You just have to try your best to identify them and weed them out before something like this happens. Some people of the anti-military establishment will use this as a banner to further denigrate the men and women that serve. But when they rear their ugly heads, I say, consider the source.

Pathetic

I wrote on this today, but leaning more toward our inane laws. The Navy will recover but these incidents are becoming more and more common.

The whole thing is insane. I feel for the dead girl and her family. I pray he reaps what he has sowed.

Navy

We've come a long way since Zumwalt, and the Navy has always been considered convervative. All services have the errant member, and "escort" charge is more media than professional reflection on the service. Mustang is correct, however. It would seem as if an officer has assumed the morals of a politician, and that's not good!

On the other hand, think of a sub filled with Hilleries. That would be a dangerous crew if crossed. Pablo
