those who

serve are blessed for the simple act of being willing to serve. Not complcated, is it?

As Christians, We Are to Pray

for those serving the Lord in far away places.

They are in my prayers.

Interesting stuff, Tim

You hear people in this country squawking about how life's so "unfair", and really have to laugh.

Like you, I've spent many years living overseas, mostly in Third-World countries, and find myself hard-pressed to gin up much sympathy.

“They are in my prayers.”

As they are mine.

Brian,

Roger that! I know about 200 million Americans who could use some comparative perspective.

Your friend, Don

is a beautiful soul. I know I've said that before, but when I read him, the thought always comes to mind. God bless him on his journey. If only there were more like him.

good one Tim

I myself have been a missionary, but have not visited any poor areas such as you have. Medical Missionary is hard work indeed. God Bless you for your work. I know of missionaries heading back to Tibet and India from my church. It's hard to raise the funds, but they have succeeded.

It's always good to reflect and realize with all that's happening around us, we have the message of Jesus Christ.

Eric,

I have been to my share of austere locations, been I wasn’t carrying a bible.

The author and missionary is Don Miller. He was a Lieutenant and the first officer in my chain of command during my stint in the USMC many years ago. He routinely provides travelogues such as this one. I occasionally cut and paste his work here for the benefit of others. Glad you enjoyed it and hat-tip for your missionary work. Thanks for stopping by.
