Well I feel so special have a whole post directed at me! But seriously let's get to the points raised.
First of all you should know, that I have been a Christian my entire life, and almost for the entire time my family went to conservative Christian churches although we were never literal Christians.
I was a conservative Christian on gay rights up until I was 13 and made many gay friends. It was there and years forward as more friends/family came out, I realized something very true that no one chooses their sexual orination. I didn't choose to be straight and I'm sure you didn't either.
I was a conservative Christian on abortion up until I was 20 (a year and a half ago). My reasons for this can be seen at my blog and have been better stated there.

My printing your reply was meant to illustrate my point in the article. Far too many 'Christians' claim that they are followers of Jesus but have rejected His very commandments. Obedience to His word is essential to being a true Christain. The word Christian refers to one 'being just like Jesus.' I don't see what having gay friends has to do with rewriting the Bible on this issue. I have people who are lost and living in sin but I do not condone their sin. They are merely living like an unbeliever. As to your 'being born gay' idea, the American Psychiatric Society recently came out with a statement that there is no gay gene and homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. All medical research has proven this point as well.
I look forward to future conversations.
