It happened last night. There was debate on the floor of the House over some amendments to a spending bill. The amendments were offered by Republicans and concerned funding for ACORN and an investigation into Nancy Pelosi's problems with the CIA.

As I understand the story, the Democrats announced that there would be no more votes that evening, and Republicans started heading home. When enough Republicans were gone the Democrats headed back to the House floor and called for a vote to end debate on all amendments to the spending bill. Republicans scrambled to get back into the House, but it was too late. Democrats saved Pelosi and ACORN with their little chicanery. For now.

Dodd and Franks initially claimed to not know about the bailout bonus provision only to find out that they are the fools who put it in the bill. Then they claimed Geidtner made them do it. Then Geidtner claimed that he knew nothing about it.

Nice story. Too bad it was all BS. How about you provide some facts for once. How about such things as the name of the hospital she where was taken. Or the name of the city that this took place in. I have a true story for you from the Canadian health care system. My friend who lives in Toronto has a 12 year old son who fell off of a swing set and shattered his elbow. They took him to Toronto East General Hospital where they sat in the ED (Emergency Department) for 14 hours to have a doctor look at the elbow and then inform them they would need to go to a different hospital because they didn't have an orthopedic surgeon on staff to take care of the wound. Since they are from New Jersey originally and my friend was only working for a company in Canada they loaded their son into the car and drove to Niagra Falls hospital where he was examined and rushed into surgery within 3 hours of arrival. This Ivan is a true story. What you told I have heard as being from England, France and Cuba and it has always been a 90+ year old person who was treated like gold. Provide facts and your story just might be believable.

My 87 year old mother fell and broke her hip. The one mile ambulance trip cost her $466.00. The hospital stay would have cost her $9000.00, but I managed to get them to authorize a third night so that medicare kicked in, You see, medicare only pays for hospitals if the patient is in three nights, and the hospitals are under pressure to get them out before the third night.

She's in rehab, now, and we've had to come upso far, with $2500.00 because medicare only covers the first week.

You have no knowledge of the Health Care industry. Do you know the difference between a Public and Private hospital? A public hospital is funded through tax dollars and there are many of them. Patient care at these facilities is usually sub-par due to the workers being unionized. They are not afraid of being fired for poor performance. Private hospitals have to make a profit to continue so the workers are treated much better and provide better care. These hospitals are mostly non-union so the workers can be fired for poor performance.

Also, just so you know, no hospital in the US is allowed to turn away any patient in the ED. Doesn't matter if they can pay or not. If you find another BS story about someone who was turned away from an ED because they were poor you will just prove you are full of it.

By the way you have no facts to prove any point you make. You come on here and spout about how we are all in lock step and all you do is spout the leftist propaganda.

What you see is how gov't run healthcare works. That's how my mother is being treated. That's what bo wants for the rest of us. All, except the ruling elites, will have this subpar health care. It ain't pretty. It ain't efficient, and it won't work, unless the goal is to bankrupt America.

Explain to me why 45,000 Canadians every year come to the US for surgery? Can't huh? Well it's because they would die in Canada. I know several Canadians that were faced with the choice of "Get on a dying list” in Canada for free, or come to the US and pay out of pocket to live.

Now, next class clown, why should I feel sympathy for the poor when I can offer then a job if they are willing to get off their butts and work? I feel no sympathy for laziness and anyone in this country with all the opportunity (at least until your Messiah destroys the economy) that abounds, that is truly poor, is lazy!
