LAW

Glad to hear lawyers may get reviewed by non-lawyers. They're too inbred. Ome of their ethical failures, I believe, is describing their clients as innocent w/o noting that it's the client saying this, not the lawyer. They're not supposed to express personal opinions about this, but they do it all the time.

I had a six-year case myself where the lawyer sat by in depositions and let the client perjure himself by claiming alibis he'd never brought up in the two years since the case began. My lawyer's response to the idea of reporting this was "I don't like to hang up another lawyer". I told him I didn't mind a bit and if I'd lost the case I would have done so and had the guy's license.

I read a transcript of a deposition by Al Gore in a campaign funds case where his lawyer made sure he corrected him every time he seemed to be deviating from his original story. That's ethics.

I could go on and on about this and frequently do in my website strikemepinkifidontthink.com. My brother's one of the profession and I was a cop for twenty-eight years and consider myself an authority on the legal system. There is, or was, a website called Overlawyered, which might interest you. Keep plugging.
