THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM AND ME...I DON'T WANT THEM ALL DEAD

Not to debate aobut it, but there are quite a few level-headed and reasonable Muslims in the world. Are they the extremists? No. But similar things could be said about those who bomb abortion clinics or animal research labs.

I was in london during the cartoon riots, and actually "Attended" one of the pro-Muslim rallies. I say attended in that I was in attendance but not standing up for the cause - I just kind of wanted to see what was going on. And it was totally non-violent. It was patrolled by members of the community, there was ssecurity, and people were civil. They made their statement, used civil means of disruption (their outrage was covered on just about every news network in the world) but nothing bad happened. Is it fair to categorize all Muslims in this negative light? Of course not. Then again, where does one draw the line in the sand? And even then, which side would even the sensible Muslims take?

Debate is good. And I think extremism in any form is dangerous. What I meant and what I think Mr. Shapiro meant was that we can't be pc about those extremists who have said out loud...they want to kill us or have us submit to their ideology.

If Muslims take the Quran seriously, they can not be a good American or whatever. Their religion does not allow for it. The two clash.

I guess it is up the the individual, how dedicated they are to Islam. I for one do not see a whole lot of condemnation, from the group when terror strikes...here in the states, maybe a liitle abroad.

Unfortunately, we are still very naive to terrorism here in the USA. Knowing their beliefs and background, I am skeptical of the whole Muslim lot. One day they may be asked to defend the Quran and the holy state of Islam...whatever the reason. What will they do....Will they stand against their own?

I hate to stereotype, but the evil in the world toaday is not inequality, it is terror. And until it stood against by their own and condemned and fought against (literally) I for one will never be naive and not change my way of thinking.
