I am a Roman Catholic.
I do go to a Roman Catholic church. Have been
for years now. I have never heard it preached
that the Catholic church sees itself as being
authoritative over other churches. I see myself
as belonging to a church of 1 Billion....that is,
1 Billion sinners.

Benedict was right-on. I read somewhere the
other day (sorry, can't remember where) that 38
important Muslim religious leaders sent a letter
to Benedict agreeing with much of what Benedict
had to say. They want to dialogue. Maybe this
is a start.

I saw Your reference to "Screwtape". I had just
purchased, but have not begun, The Screwtape
Letters. Have You read them? Any advice on
how I should read them? Take care. Good Luck.

Thanks for visiting. The Screwtape Letters is an amazing work by an amazing man.(C.S. Lewis) As to advice on how to read it, I would merely, but strongly, reccomend serious prayer. Stories of demons tempting humans ought not be taken lightly, but this one certainly ought to be read. Enjoy.

In between some football I was able to read the
first 6 Letters. Lewis was an outstanding
author, but to be very very honest with You much
of his writing is way-over-my-head. Thanks for
the advice on Prayer.....I'll give it a try.
