Mormon's aren't Christians & niether is Romney

Using an anti-LDS tract as your source

is telling and explains why you made so many information and logic errors in your contention that LDS people are not Christian.

You get a lot of information close, but not right-on-the-money. As result you state as our beliefs ideas that are not our actual beliefs.

Some Christians view their state in the next life as very vague; I call this view "the harpist on the cloud syndrome." If LDS people prefer a more dynamic concept of progess - an extention of the good things of this earth life, why should you care?
Somehow you have the view that LDS people do not recognize and accept the grace of the Savior or that we do not accept the need to be "born again." We do accept His Atonement and are humbled by it.

We accept baptism to be born again as he taught Nicodemus who took the idea literally and asked how he was supposed to re enter his mother's womb.

Jesus also taught us all to be doers of His word, and not just hearers of the world. Anti-LDS people strain at a gnat and swallow a camel trying to make it appear that we don't understand the Savior's Gift of immortality.

I believe in Christ. I believe in His teachings. I believe the Bible is the world of God.

Do you require that all sects of Christian beliefs (thousands of different churches) be uniform in their interpretations of each verse from Genesis to Revelations? History tells us that has never been possible.

The Reformation was an important period of secular and religious history. The printing of the Bible made it possible for the average person to have the Bible in his home. We are blessed because of the courage of such people...and take it for granted that there are no laws prohibiting the reading of the Bible (except in China?).

Let's start over and observe the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution of this great land. We don't need another "holy war" over doctrines.

Peace and joy this sacred holiday season.

Its official

"I find it quite humorous that for decades you mormon's weren't allowed to drink anything stonger than kool-ade, but now that Coca-cola is owned by Mormon's it is now harmless to drink and man does your follower's drink it like their making up for lost time."

Wow, time to update your anti mormon material.

Christians are Not Mormon

You have done a great job with the CON argument of why Christians are not Mormons-that, of course, would have been a silly title for your Blog and no one would have read it.
I come from the unique perspective of having been Mormon. Baptized in the church when I was 8. Been a Sunday School Pres., Elders' Quorum Pres. and Temple Recommend holder. My wife and I were sealed in the LA Temple and I personally baptized my two sons when they were 8. I left the Church after a crisis of faith. I just didn't believe.
My family and I now attend a Calvary Chapel affiliated church. They hold the same opinion that Mormons are not Christian.
They also argue that Christians are not Mormons. I mean that when I was told what I needed to do as a Christian in order to be saved I was overjoyed. I'd already been doing it as a Mormon. Unless you are arguing that when I got down on my knees and prayed in the name of Jesus, the Lord cupped his ears and said, "la la la, I can't hear you because you’re Mormon". I baptized my sons by in the "name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost". Are you supposing I didn't believe what I was saying? I find it insulting that you infer that the only reason I would have done any good things for my fellow man was that I was trying to earn my way into heaven on some point system scheme and not because of my love for and commitment to Jesus Christ. Is your personal relationship with Jesus more special than mine that he gave you the gift to discern what was in my heart? For crying out loud, I gave 10% of my earnings because I believed that was what a follower of Jesus would do. Are you saying that the Lord would not honor the intent of my sacrifice? So what is it that I am supposed to do or say that I didn't do or say when I was Mormon? That is the argument you should have made-promised you would make-and didn't. Even my Pastor concedes that I was a Christian while I was a Mormon-of course he reassures me that I was unique

I answered you and you never came back, I see that you went to Bob Burney and continued to say you were't answered.

Big G There is a lot written

I had so much to say I had to post another blog. Since I have finally had a chance to read your site you sent to me, I will for the sake of friendly arguement refute each item catagorically. It is only fair that you give me the same consideration as you have subjected me to with the lengthy articles posted on that site. This will take time and as we are both grown-ups I hope that even though neither one of us will change the other one's mind we can at least agree to a friendly debate as such. So if you don't mind I have started to repond by posting a new blog under Faith and Family titled Trinty: Christian VS LDS. I am not finsihed with my writings, but the Holiday and family duties call. As the articles of faith in the post you have me looking at are extremely wordy I can be none other myself. I am no scholar, but am scripturally sound and will back up everything I say with Scripture. Otherwiose I will be looking forward over time to dialogue with you. regards. Tony
