Very true...
Voting third party isn't going to solve anything. That will only take votes away from McCain and just hand Obama the win.

Sheila re Fence Sitters
Wasn't that the same argument they used in 2006? Why they were just going to send those Republicans in House and Senate a mesage by voting them out! They thought by doing that they would repent and 2 years later we would regain control. Well it is 2 years later and we had Nancy and Harry in charge and Barney and Chris overseing the banking Industry. Gee what a great message they sent. Not only dont we have majority in Congress we may loose Presidency as well as same sitters sit once more. Only message they are sendinnng is to the Dems that they are doing everything right. BRILLIANT! They sure showed those Rinos, huh?

Fence Sitters and Barr-kers
Hi, Sheila! Great post and very timely! I can`t believe that some people can still be undecided! The two are polar opposites. Many conservatives have such anger toward McCain. Does not compute that a vote for Barr is a protest against McCain! What about our country???? Kevin is exactly right, just go back two years and how we wound up with lovely Madame and Harry. As for the debate last night, zzzzzzzz. It wasn`t really a Town Hall and what was Brokaw doing there in the first place? Obama sure looked like Mr. Cool. Isn`t that a great qualification for president?!?

I know...it really has improved since we had the tantrum hasn't it?
Why do people never get it? You have to work from strength...adding more conservatives to a majority...
If people don't wake up we will have a Chavez wannabe in the White House...have you heard that Ayers was in Venezuela talking with his buddy Chavez two years ago, discussing his radicalization education program?
Ob and Ayers have the same goals...making America a marxist country.

The format was a yawner...I have no idea what Brokaw was doing there...another has been leftie in charge of the debate!
Yeah, I'm with you... voting Barr...absolute stupidity.
I have a feeling there are more Mac voters than we think, as usual...remember Kerry? He was "ahead" in the polls...
I think lots of dems are going to defect and vote Mac...

The lousy Repubs are already there. The scum Dem/libs are already there. What we're going to do is vote in conservatives instead of Repubs. Gotta start somewhere. McCain just helped turn us into a Socialist country.

The Stupid Party is known as the Stupid Party for a reason. They learned nothing from the defeat of the Amnesty bill. They learned nothing in 2006. They made sure an aisle crossing Dem in Rep clothing was the party nominee. So they need to be spanked harder this time. Did you love what they did when they had everything in 2000? Why do you want to keep hurting yourself?

Good points, but I have to defend the fence sitters in one respect because it is relevant. In some states Obama is going to win no matter what - he's very far ahead. In those cases the third party vote is not going to make a difference. Swing states are anothre matter. I libve in FL, where it's still tight. I ahve not seen the Mac I wanted to see over the last couple of weeks, and he's finally let Sarah take off the gloves but possibly too late - they should have been hammering O on ACORN, Ayers, abortion, Fred and Fan, for weeks now, but haven't. That's bad judgement - not that Obama's is good - he is a monster and I pray he loses. For me, I got excited about the VP pick because I saw her as the hope for the future. Mac is not hope for the future. As SP pointed he voted for the New New Deal last week and will probably vote in favor of govt. taking over banks and other comapnies to "assist" them. That is socialism, and I cannot support it. Nor can I conceive of voting for O or "throwing out" my vote.

election
Whoever wins this election realy loses, because both Mac and O have the same basic proposal to "help" the economy - more government intervention, which is exactly why the markets are tanking. The markets know that more govt. intervention in trying to stave off liquidation of some banks (which will be very painful) and keep artificial conditions continuing, preventing the market from correcting itself - which will make the ineviable crash even worse. The liquidations need to happen before any relief can occur. That said, I think this crisis is going to deepen and prolong itself via more "help" from DC. With Comrades Pelosi and Reid running Capitol Hill for the next 2 years, and a filibuster-proof Congress they will od what they want regardless of who is President. But, the Presidnt will blamed for the economy. Whoever wins this one will be a 1-termer.
But, like I told Kevin - I hope I am dead wrong and y'all are rubbing my nose in it on Nov 5!

Why the DOW is tanking.
As Obama's polls go up, the DOW will go down.
Also, doesn't anyone remember the bail out the Savings and Loans? The government got it's money back. If Bush had done nothing, the country would be attacking him and blaming him.
Sheila, you are right. Are we dumb enough to let the people that got us into this mess win and have Obama along with a 60 veto proof majority?
I will be looking forward to what the fence sitters and third party voters will say then.

Even though I have no love for McLiberal, I do agree with KevInFl. Except for Iraq there is not that much difference.
If these fence sitters think they are going to punish the party by not voting, and then people will see how bad the Dems & Obama are and sweep the Republicans in in 2012, I believe they are fools, as well as anyone who buys into that idea. We might wind up with not four but eight years of real Socialist government.
Remember there might be another 40 years as the minority.

You are right...if ACORN is an example of the way the left operates...and we know it is...they will have this thing locked in forever. Look at the chaos they are creating in this election already.
The left lives by rules no one else can live by, thanks to the MSM protecting their party of thugs.
If Ob gets in the WH we will have thugs running the country and we will be like all the other corrupt countries who's citizens lose.

Sheila, Greetings, nice site
McCain was not my first or even last choice on the Republican party.
But as Country First. McCain is a great patriot. He loves his country.
I Love America, I just can not see it even for a day in the hands of those who dislike her.
It makes me so very sad to see, many throwing away their votes, because they are mad at Republicans. Just change one rep. at time.
Do not throw pearls to the swine.
My heart aches, when I see this beloved land in the hands of marxists, socialists.
We will pay dearly if Obama becomes president, our children will pay the price.
This land belongs to God. Please do not waste it. Always vote and keep it safe. McCain/Palin will be trusted with the safety and future of this nation, they are honorable people.
If Obama becomes president, great darkness will fall upon this great land.
