Facts About AIG Bailout Money

Facts about AIG and the $165 million dollars of retention bonuses (as broadcast by Rush Limbaugh this morning):

Amounts to 1/10th of 1% of the Bailout money (think earmarks).

The Bonuses, their amount, and payout dates were known one year ago.

Senator Chris Dodd placed an amendment in the Stimulus Bill passed in February that specifically exempts actions of any kind against limiting the payouts of employee retention bonuses.

$93 Billion dollars of the $180 Billion dollars that AIG received as a bailout has been paid out to foreign banks.
