You have my grateful thanks. You have no idea how grand it is to be so complimented -- particularly inasmuch as I have been vilified with such fervor by a couple of people here.

In my lifetime (long, obviously) I have never encountered such hatred; and I have never been called such names as I have of late. I am trying very hard not to stoop to their level. However, as I mentioned to emjayne once, I'm not as limber as I used to be!

Thanks again. And keep reading. I have probably posted more blogs in the last week than I have in the last three months. I have felt it necessary to defend my integrity as best I could. I've been rather fired up.

I just read each of your essays and accompanying responses/posts. I have to say I was repulsed by Mr labeler's ignorance and hostility. Has he even read you? Ironically, I believe his vilification of you served only to confirm that HE is a villain. Your integrity needn't be defended, all one has to do is read you to understand. Your time would be much better spent writing for your enjoyment and that of your readers.

As for my "work", I have none. I'm afraid I've neither the skill nor the talent nor the intellect of folks like you and Pasadena Phil and a few others I've taken to reading. I'd only embarrass myself.

Your question about whether "mr" has even read my writing is that I doubt seriously he has read very much of it. If he did, he would know that it is indeed he who has the problem here.

I believe that to a large degree some of my little "barbs" have landed and have stung, that there is at least a grain (to me, it's a boulder)of truth that he does not want to acknowledge, and that is the reason his responses have been attacks rather than rational exchanges of thought.

I must take exception to your estimation of your writing. It is obvious you have more writing talent than almost all who do write here. It's a good thing we're not being graded, but there are some who are in dire need of remedial reading comprehension, first, and intense tutoring in stringing words together to convey thoughts, thus communicating on a very high level.

Don't let Doc Steech get to you, I've gone a round or two with him myself and he's not all bad, even if he does go off half-cocked sometimes.

I'm glad I "discovered" this place. Being from California I don't encounter many open/like-minded folks.

I concur with Virginia Patriot: don't let "mr" get to you. He's not half-bad. Perhaps a bit too quick to label and attack though ... and villainous! in that respect.

Appreciate your encouragement, however, I'd most certainly get my bu++ handed to me in a debate which I see alot of here at TH. Don't have the pedigree. I can only call it like I see it, right or wrong. I, too, thought OPINIONS were welcome here. Perhaps by the site ... certainly not by some of the posters.

VPat's right about Doc. You do realize that you have him defending his wife don't you?

If you haven't read Ann's book on McCarthy you really should. I thought it was terrific read and documented to the gills.
