The Cowboy in Us All

liberals look down on the cowboy so...arrogantly.


It is because the cowboy ethic is hard work, honesty and self reliance.

All of those things the liberal mind detests.

They also feel that way about "the workers" whom they say they are trying to help. But they're not. They look down on ALL working people as ignorant people clinging to their guns and religion.

This reminds me of an encounter I had on the streets of Paris.

We were stationed in Germany, and I insisted on seeing Paris before coming back to the US. We walked all over Paris, stopping in many boutiques (hey, I'm a female), and commenting on the wares. At a perfumerie, I overheard a salesclerk say to another, how much she "despised" Americans and their cowboy ways.
Since I spoke French, I turned to her, and replied, "Yes, better than the French surrender way. Do you have a perfume called 'Adam's Rib'?"

The pin drop could be heard in Kenya.
