The emails now revealed

You may be right-maybe the many Conservatives in South Carolina who have a problem with Sanford, and there are many, may have gotten their hands on these emails from some traiterous staffer and when it began to look like Sanford was getting a bit too popular as a potential Presidential candidate, they waited for the moment when he came forth and let the emails leak. They had to know that sooner or later he and his wife would come to blows over his infidelity.

But however the emails came to be pilfered, however permanent the damage, Mark Sanford did this to himself. Is it wrong that maybe the State newspaper was catering to his Republican enemies? Certainly, but we all know the treacherous, unethical waters of politics.

Sanford merely presented them with a gift they couldn't refuse-whoever found the emails simply made sure it wasn't a surprise!

For the governor, as you say, he did this to himself. But I am of the opinion that whoever got their hands on these emails, was probably an insider.
