Check a few things

before going on a tear. First, this is a real case that has been filed against PuC by Mr. Ford. Second, and perhaps the real reason why your meters are alerted is that while some do not consider Mormons as Christians, the socialists do lump them in the Christian category. Remembering the saying from WWII (can't remember the attribution): They came for the Jews and I didn't stand up because I wasn't a Jew, then they came for the Roman Catholics and I didn't stand up because I wasn't Roman Catholic, finally they came for the Protestants and no one stood up because no one was left.

Whether LDS is Christian is not the issue, the blatant discrimination carried off a step at a time is the issue.

Personally, I would rather have Romney with his Mormon principles than the other choices of liberal theology candidates.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
A question if I may?
If it isn't about Mormon apologetics, why use Mormon in the title?
Here's my issue with the way the debate is being framed by Hugh and Mike etc. If they didn't want Mormon theology scrutinized, why identify Romney and Ford as Mormons if it's just about good people running for office.
The answer is that our theology defines how we approach life. We believe in God, a god, many gods,no god or you can't really know god. Everyone of us falls into one of those categories, or are in transition. When you define the debate by naming a specific theology, you have done just that, you have chained that candidate to that theology.
Again thanks for the time.

P.S.

Hugh and Mike have defined the debate not me. They are the ones who tied Mitt to his Mormon theology. I am a born again Christian, and though I can't deny that denominational biases color my approach to scripture, I am esentially non-denominational today. The man called Jesus of Nazareth is clearly the central figure of the the book we call the Bible, I am bound by the good, the bad and the ugly of that book. There are many 'hard sayings' to be sure, but after 30 years of walking in darknes, the Christ revealed in the Bible has changed my life in ways beyond finding out.
If you come seeking the truth, God has obligated Himself to reveal Himself( 1Chronicles28:9 )to you. Be aware that you will have to surrender your whole life, including your opinions to Him. I've had to change many of my charished views, but He has remained absolutely faithful, even when I haven't, such is the God I serve.

God bless and reveal Himself to all.
