The Law of the Land: Well it USED to be.

Becoming What I Hate

It would seem I am becoming what I hate. I am one of those odd ducks going around trying to change things. Odder still, at a "certain age," I am still so starry-eyed (well, almost) to believe it can make a difference.

It's simply that I cannot not "become what I hate." I am compelled, impelled, to see what I can do to change just a few things.

For instance, I would like to see a federal law that mandates life sentences for first-time child abusers of any stripe. "First-time" implies there will be other, future times; therefore, only life imprisonment will preclude such abuse.

There are a few other "for instances," but I will not bore you with them here and now. I simply go about apparently becoming what I hate, but I was in ignorant bliss until it was pointed out so succinctly in "The Law of the Land: Well, It USED to be."
