Does Scripture Mandate Open Borders?

Inteprettion of the scriptures is just too often used, like you said, by people intent on appealing to our sensitivities to favor those that do. I see that the teachings of Jesus were to individual people and not to governments. As humans, we are to take care of the elderly etc. The only reference I can recall at this moment of Jesus having anything at all to say about governments, is when Jesus went in and threw over the tables of the tax collectors.

All the rest of His teachings were to individual people.
