So what do our children get? Stagnation, a group of puppets and no talk of continual improvement of the schools. Go to any board meeting and it is the same self congratulation and fluff.

What do you expect when you have a member like Steve Paul who won't divulge his own education and is just concerned about being "Grand Poobah" of the next Rocklin event?

It's unfortunate our children lose out as evidenced by the steady decline of Twin Oaks Similar School ranking from 3 to 1 over three years. This was met with complete silence from the RUSD Board of Trustees. This is a travesty in an affluent community.

Shame on you Mr. Gaines for failing to do your research and supporting a gang of folks looking to stroke their own egos!

It is nice to see that some people in Rocklin really understand what is going on in our schools. You hit it on the nose with Steve Paul. I can speak from experience. I served 2 years on the Rocklin School Board with Mr. Paul. He came to most meetings unprepared to talk about the important issues. You could tell he hardly ever read his board package before the meetings. Or possibly, he did not understand the material. It is a shame that Assemblyman Ted Gaines decided to support someone that does not understand what is needed in our schools.
