Can't Keep Religion Out

It is indeed impossible to keep religion out of politics, if by religion one means morals, values, ideology, or worldview. Even saying that there should be no religion in politics requires some sort of religious position.

Of course, if all someone means by "religion" is a particular religion's ceremonial practices, then of course we can keep that out of politics.

But even prayer - seeking the counsel of God - why should an elected official be kept from doing that in public any more than the official seeking the opinion or advice of anyone else?

Religion = God! Not so!

Liberal secularists connect the word religion with God. Not so. Religion (Latin ligatus)is anything, any filament which unites or connects, or binds. Religion is a personal set or an institutionalized LOYALTY system of attitudes, beliefs, and practices. To some, football, or baseball, or soccer is their religion. To the liberal, the Democrat party is their religion. To the Green's, environment is their religion. To many races, their race is their religion. To many genders, their gender is their religion. To the youth, youth is their religion. To the PHD, intellect and ideology is their religion. Just follow their loyalties, their trusts, their dependencies, their RELIANCES.

I know no white male who says they will vote for McCain because he is WHITE, MALE, OLD, and went to a Military College.
