"Mediacracy" and a New Definition of Division in America

I whole heartedly...

agree. I just hope the Republicans realize the whoopin' they recieved was not because the Democrats had better ideas, but because they had lost touch with the American people that had entrusted them with power. Alternative media will become a large factor, but unless a valid party shoulders the values you talk of, and that can only be the Republicans (the Dems are lost), it might be for naught.

Question:

Question:

What is the main difference between traditionalists and conservatives?

Not arguing... just wondering.

Good Question...

You know, in the past I would have said that they are the same. In fact, perhaps they still are, but "Republican" does not equate to "Conservative" or "Traditionalist" as witnessed by the immigration fiasco, the huge growth of government in recent years, and the constant pandering by the GOP to reach out to voters who will NEVER support them rather than standing strong on the principles they articulated to get elected. Regardless, your question pointed out that there should not be a distinction between "Traditionalist" and "Conservatives"... I just wanted to highlight what I believe the true battle for the soul of our nation to be about.

New Definitiion of Division in America

You have accurately politically summed up what's been happening in America.

The problems I've personally seen within the Republican Party itself is the reason why our political party is so fractured. I believe it's due to the aparthy of Republican voters, once called "The Silent Majority". They basically stood by and did nothing for several decades, and as a result, they allowed those who didn't only have a "moderate" viewpoint, but allowed those with a Socialist viewpoint (Democrats) to integrate our political party. The Republican Party no longer resembles the party of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan anymore. If you dare actually state the political groups responsible for this phenomena within the Republican Party, you're automatically banned from some of the so-called "conservative" websites controlled by the groups I mentioned, for posting what they claim is supposedly "offensive" or "hate speech", in spite of it being only plain fact without any actual attack against any group! America has gotten so ridiculously politically correct since we were attacked six yrs. ago, we are no longer entitled to free speech, even in our own Republican Party, or should I say what once was our own Republican Party? Sean Hannity has the freedom, on his own radio show, to call people names and rant to his heart's content, but don't dare post any rants on his website about the political groups now running our own Republican Party or you're automatically banned by the moderators controlling his website, who are obviously part of those political groups. The same is true with GOP USA's website!
