Great Post
Great post. I am convinced that Republicans are currently doing everything wrong; they need a plan. Until they find a way to establish why conservative principles work for everyone, they are going to keep losing. We need a "New Contract With America" and we need it BADLY. You did a great job and I would really love to hear your opinion of my newest blog about the economy if you get the chance. Thanks and take care!

Wake up no kidding.
You know who else I wish would wake up? Christian pastors and their dozing congregations. I'm about ready to leave the church I've been visiting for the pat 4 or5 months. they are great at preaching the Bible, but they keep their salt in the shaker. It's like everybody is in a state of oblivion about what's going on out in the world . I could go on and on about this topic but won't. It's pretty much the same thing. Everybody's deeply sedated.
Good post.

they won't
They should have woken up before the 06 midterm elections, but they won't. They kept overspending and funding pork projects and look what happened. The dollar fell down to the level of the peso. Have a new blog up you should read. I'm running for POTUS by way of the DNC.

“I WON.”
Hmmm...I used to say that as a child.
I think that says it all.
Wake up is right! And they need to do it soon. They are losing the base of the party and we need to find ways to reel in young adults (20somethings and younger) and make them realize that this is NOT the old geezer party. We need people like Palin and Jindal at the front and representatives like Josh Mandel in Ohio out inspiring the youth base.

Great post, we need a call to arms. We cannot wait for the left to overplay their hand (which they will) to get mobilized. They think they have a mandate, and with the way the RINOs are rolling over, they just might. The list of their "initiatives" is too long to list, but we all know what terrible policies they want to foist upon us.
I would only add 2 other words.
Wake "the F**K" UP!!
Sorry, sometimes you need to go blue to get their attention.

Culling everything down to two words is at best difficult.
Your analysis of the situation is on target.
If you get the opportunity, would appreciate your input on the letter I have drafted to my STATE reps in Richmond.
Thanx for this post and reminder to me that I also need to ramp up my activity.

I agree, we definitely need to wake up and get active. Very active.
We should borrow a page from the liberal's playbook and start demonstrating and shouting in the streets the way they do.
Generally, we conservatives don't use their tactics. We don't march and shout in the streets. We don't have demonstrations. We don't try to do crazy things like set up camp outside of the president's permanent home in order to attract attention.
Maybe it's time we do. Maybe it's time we turn the tables on the d*mned liberals and throw their tactics right back at them. It's time to draw public attention to us.
Liberals launched mighty efforts in the sixties and seventies, and have continued their efforts. As a result, who do you see holding demonstrations and marches and other public activities? It's mostly always liberals.
We can't depend on our political leaders. We need to get out their and shout in the nation's face until WE get things done.

I thought we had a pretty good demonstration going at Gathering of Eagles III in September of 07, until we got to the Navy Memorial to counter-protest the Code Pink parade down Pennsylvania Ave. They outnumbered us BIG TIME!

Bipartisan means agree with Dems
For many years I have been saying that there seems to be little debate any longer in Washington about which direction we are headed, we only debate the speed at which we go. Direction is left, of course; we merely debate how fast we adopt socialism, not whether we should.
The Big O's "I WON" should really get the "get along go along" folks' attention. Since conservative principles work and liberal policies don't (and that is just the facts of life, not my opinion or yours) we konw the big-spending is going to kill the economy, create make-work josbs in the short term, but turn this recession into a depression. If the Republicans jump on this bandwagon, they'll have no moral or other authority to stand on come the next election, no message of "see I told you so" to run on. Better dig in right now and stake your claim, don't get get sucked into the Big O's net!

Just watched the House GOP come out and spit and sputter over how open PBHO is to include their ideas in his stimulous. The GOP better wake up and try to remember how they got there. Barely, by the skin of their teeth! I also heard today that Congress has increased their allowances to $90,000! EACH! What recession? Two more words to ponder are Tea Party! Good post, Salt!

Who in their right mind says, "I won?" And is President? How old is this person? And what can he run?
As for the Republicans, wake up.
