The CIA’s Tailhook

Very well said and written, bravo zulu A.S. I recall Tailhook and the political correctness fall out that ensued throughout the Navy/Marine Corps.
That was under a 'Democrat President' who sought to 'change' things. History is repeating itself again, and your analysis of what is to come for the CIA is dead on. Unless...unless...some Republican Senators and Representatives grow some back bone and stand in the very doors of Langley and allow no Holder investigator's inside, even if it means arrest.
I hope you send your Tailhook posting to your Representatives.

I will send this article to my elected reps..encourage you do as well...

Also, wrote, produced and spoke in a little video tha you might find interesting concerning the ridicule and attacks from the Administration, and its media and legislative enablers toward the Town Hall attendees.

Excellent video and one the money message. YouTube that one if you can as well. You will catch a lot of flak from mainly kids on YouTube...who are brain-dead anyway....but that's a great video and strong message that needs to get out to a wider audience, especially before the 9-12 march in D.C. From memory, it seems that Admiral Turner tried to wreck the CIA in 1977 and some of the better ops guys turned rogue and burned turner. Some were using Libyan money to turn tricks in the weapons game.

The talent here follows the same kind of talent th theory we have in investment bankers in the big banks where they are now not welcome in leftist circles.

The need for intel and black ops is not going away even if O'Bozo is kissing backsides in the Islamo-Fascisti camp. IF the US becomes hostile to places like Israel and others then jobs will open for such talent. The same goes for the banks. If you have a trader that can make 800 million for some bank and wants 100 million in pay and is forced to leave then this person will just join another group overseas if necessary and get to work. I know a top-shelf trader who can work anywhere with his partner--anywhere in the world. He is that good.

The government is very good at mediocrity and inefficiencey and talent is talent and they don't need it. They have their drooling slugs. Organizations like Blackwater will spring up here and there and make private contracts that are hidden from O'Bozo and his Fascist thugs.

There are agents, double agents, insiders, outsiders and more and plenty of work to be done. This is just the Soldier of Fortune Game with slightly different rules. The US now may be the Bad Guy and things may begin to leak out.

That is the way the world works.

Spot on as to your assessment, less one key issue that may make a slight difference in the Banker-Operative analogy. People don't join the CIA for the money...and it is the praise or recognition (as witnessed by This Administration and its legislative and media enablers)...and it isn't for "chicks" (most postings forbid operatives to cohabitate and fraternize with indigenous Local Nationals, despite Bond's womeanizing ways)...what is it? Why to extremely bright, educated, well rounded people who, for the most part, pursue a career in the Agency?....that often ridiculed notion of Patriotism. This is one of the key reasons, I believe, the left has always had the proverbial "h*ard on" for the CIA...they are the fly in the oinment keeping America on the real-politick path of National self preservation and America first international affairs..and the left, Wilsonian, ideologues hate them for that. They see the CIA as the last bastion of American exceptionalism in our foreign policy..they snatched the real-politck out of the State Dept decades ago when a whole slough of leftist/socialist academics invaded the hollowed spaces at Foggy Bottom.
