Yes big evil oil companies: You are now allowed to drill in all the places where there is no oil.
All we want is to make it look like we did something, you just aren't allowed to find any oil. good luck ha ha.

Here's another story
About Dems screwing us on oil. Schumer, Kerry, and McCaskill got together on a deal where Iraq was gonna give contracts to American oil companies. They bolloxed that up with some lame objection about the Iraqi hydrocarbon sharing law not having passed. The Iraqis went running to the ChiComs.

Right, and they're going to tax the oil companies and when a state approves of offshore drilling they get no revenue - fat chance of approval - what idiots.

Doesn't it appear that the dem "leaders" are absolute idiots? They all put themselves and their party first and seldom (if ever) actually do something FOR the country. Schumer and Kerry are a couple of the ring leaders of the dumba$$ caucus.

I almost went thru my TV when I saw San Fran Nan talking this barely-polished turd up like it was some sort of accomplishment or something. Thank God Boehner has the cojones to call this what it is, a total sham. It will not pass the senate, so we are back to square zero on the energy front. Hurray For Congress!!!!

The Senate
will kill the drilling bill. IMO, this was a charade to let the House Dems go on record for drilling. The Senate has said, they want the moratorium to expire, because they believe Obama will win, and THEN they can go ahead with their misguided plans.

Hey Bdubya
If it hadn’t happened so often before, I’d be amazed that anyone had the gall to misrepresent the contents of that bill to that extent that Nancy has. The unfortunate truth is that a large percentage of the population is totally ignorant of the difference between what she says and what is really there – they are not engaged and won’t ever be. They are the ones the left has been waiting for. If they knew the truth, the dems wouldn’t stand a chance, but the uninformed keep them in power.

I’ve heard that as well, it’s still hard for me to believe that the dems will take a chance on O being elected. It “looks” tight now and it “looks” like O could lose (I still think it will be a landslide for McC). They are not the kind to gamble on O being in power – they must have some reason behind that. I hope that they do allow the old “law” to expire – that solves many problems - but not all – there’ll still be lawsuits for all kind of reasons to stop actual drilling.

I read this and I was too buy laughing. Is this a joke? Are we supposed to actually believe that this is some kind of bill for anything? Are we being punked?
I saw Madame Speaker on the tv about this. Smiling and babbling about this bill or piece of junk, whichever you want to call it. Nice sham Madame Speaker!

It's enough to make one lose faith, Sue
in the "intelligence" of the human race as a whole. That is, how some dems in Congress (both houses) are so hellbent on demonizing everything from G. Bush, to all Republicans, to "Big Oil." All in a pursuit of political power. And worse, the majority of our country are so unengaged that they don't know what's going on.
Someone please explain to me how preventing the drilling of our own oil and our own oil companies doing business with the Iraq government ADVANCES the cause of the U.S.?????

I just want Pelosi kicked out and take Reid with her.
I can not believe what a big issue this is and they try to pawn this garbage off on the American people, so we think that what they are doing is a good thing.
That Iraq thing is ridiculous. I can't believe that.
And these politicians wonder why no one trusts them. If this thing even goes to President Bush, he better veto this.
I have to say another sad thing is that people believe Pelosi is doing a good job. I was listening to my friend babble about how Pelosi is trying to get drilling passed and big bag Republicans are saying no. I asked her if she read the bill and she said no. I told her you might want to read it. Sure!

Sue, you have the obligation
to download a good summary of the bill into Word, add your own explanatory comments where necessary and send it to her or print it for her. If she thinks Nancy is doing a good job, your friend may already be past help.

She probably thinks Nancy is doing a good job because she wore a suit that she liked.
That drill bill is just a piece of junk. And if I hear this woman one more time say that the Democrats had nothing to do with anything that is wrong in this world, I am going to scream.
I think we launch a march. Get people from all over the United States and take back the capitol. We kick all of Congress out and send them packing.

I am all for none of the above. I am also for the people taking back the country, so lets storm the capitol. I say we kidnap Pelosi and Reid. I mean really, would anyone pay the ransom? I think not.
Too bad we don't have a comments box on the ballot. We would write in why we are not voting for that person. Now that would be something.

You know no one would pay a dime - BUT - you've hit on a money-making idea! A grass-roots grab-a-thon. Folks would send in money to fund the abduction. We could be rich, RICH, DO YOU HEAR? Would you contribute $1 or $5 or $10 to have them "disappear"? There'd be MILLIONS sent in!
