Powerline blog on Global Warming

i froze my rearend

last winter here in Cincy, I could have used some global warming then.....and then of course, there's the added snowfall on the peaks and glaciers, but of course, THATS because the oceans are getting warmer. I'm angry at the politicizing of the environment, it's hard enough to get people to care, but when they get jaded because of phoney baloney, it's even worse.....

Right On

Thank You Stefano
There was an article I read some years ago in Scientific American, pointing to this very observation. Climate change due to warming causes the ice to release CO2 as it melts. Therefore it stands to reason as the arctic ice melts it releases previously stored carbon dioxide into the air. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Plants by their very nature contribute to climate change as do trees. During the really early years of agricultural growth in both plant and animal farming there was an increase of all things green-house, methane from animals, oxygen etc,. The consensus among some scientists though there are probably more is of course the CO2 is not directly causing global warming.

Folks we are being hosed by Uncle Al and The Global Left

Conservabear, have you ever thought

about the fact that the best place to put a tree if you're trying to prevent carbon emissions is in a baseball bat or a piece of fine furniture or a nice house? A house or a fine piece of furniture will store the carbon for a hundred years while a tree is constantly dropping leaves, limbs, seeds, pollen, and other things most of which rot and release carbon, not to mention the fact that when the tree starts dying it rots while it's dying and then when it finally dies it rots for decades all the while releasing carbon into the atmosphere.

Stefano

I know it's that ol cycle of carbon thing.
carbon is released from a dying brother tree and all the other brethern reabsorb their buddy back in the system. As much as we think we can fool with mommo nature, and of course Abba Father they slap us right back down and say listen human tell all Gore to pipe down and put your carbon credits you know where. I think nature is grand don't you! Oh really cool info about the furniture of which I was not aware.
Thanks Again.
