10 Axioms of Liberalism

Cincinnati

Hi, Axioms,

I read your post with interest and heartily agree. Having taken up the challenge of hosting a blog, now, I am working out what I want to say. My first (and only) post has to do with getting Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, et al on a radio station here in Cincinnati. We have listened to Hugh and Dennis for years, even before coming to Ohio. At this time, we listen on the internet, but it's hard to introduce someone to talk radio by telling them to go to a particular website, then, sit near their computers to listen.

I invite you to be the first visitor to my blog: jb and Company. It will tell you a little more about my first and modest campaign.

Keep posting; I'll visit.

Good List Axioms. Liberals are short term thinkers. Liberals always go for the lowest common denominator. EG - Since some kids will feel bad we need to lower the test standards; give everyone a ribbon; cancel the games all together. Liberals use the first amendment to try to get rid of the second amendment. Not really an axiom but this does a lot to explain liberals: they want to ban cigarettes and legalize weed. haha. enjoy.

Liberals can't live with them

These might be some long comments but it's from an email I wrote to a very LIBERAL family member of mine.

Your post of axioms was very good.

I just started a blog at http://jevica2003.townhall.com

Hope to come back

They operate from emotion and feelings, they view people in terms of group membership. Liberals think government made America great. Those were all easy.

Liberals love to go on and on about the need for "compassion," their "caring attitude" and the "kindness they spread wherever they go."

Liberals seldom use "logical thought processes or actual empirical facts to back up their policies, not while they can go on about 'feeling the pain' of the people they obsess over."

"It is terribly easy (for liberals) to show the entire world what a wounderfully compassionate and caring person you are when you show your compassion and caring attitude by spending someone else's money, and not your own."

If there is on thing a liberal hates it is for someone to attack "some cherished liberal concept using the cold harsh reality of fact and logic." When people step in with "facts and statistics" to back up their ideas, liberals will start calling "hate" and "extremism" they will call these people "evil and mean-spirited."

If you think facts drive liberals crazy just watch what logic does to them.

Liberals generally talk of "the poor," "the less fortunate," "the Blacks," "the rich," "the disadvantaged," and so on.

"Liberals . . . believe that the vast majority of Americans are simply too ignorant to exist on their own without the guidance and security only a liberal, centralized government can provide."

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury." Alexander Tyler

"In general the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give to the other." Voltaire

"In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'"

"What is it about people who will camp out for 24 hours to buy tickets at a ticket window-but can't find 45 minutes to vote?" We don't have to make the day a holiday to give everyone off, people have enough time to vote. In New York polls are open from 6AM to 9PM.

Every year the liberals in Congress would bring up ways to get more of their "core constituents" off the federal tax rolls. Now the top 50% of income earners pays about 96% of all federal income taxes. The bulk of these taxes, well over 80%, are actually paid by the top 40% of income earners. The liberals in Congress would use money seized from a minority of voters to buy votes from the majority. The "actual tax-payers decrease in numbers while the tax-takers increase." This is when the ballot box will have ceased to work, at least for the people paying the bills. Now don't you want more Conservatives in Congress (House and Senate) who will slow down spending? Let's get the Presidents budget approved without adding in more spending.
