Comment on: Sarah Palin in 2012!

Great polling data for Sarah Palin!

Now if only Palin

had the capacity for the job, which she doesn't, then she would be in excellent position. But what we have with Palin is someone who can not only brag about herself, she is excellent at spinning the news. How she spun quitting over a year before her term was up provides an excellent example of her capabilities.

But as for having a command of the facts and the capacity to be intensely involved in multiple subjects over a prolonged period of time, she doesn't have that. How she quit her job with over a year left provides an excellent example of what she is not capable of.

Why the fixation on Palin?

Palin...

I like her but she has no chance,Americans just won't vote for a woman POTUS for some reason.

You are both wrong.

Let me explain why. First, Obama is going to be seriously in the tank with the American people by 2012. The man is an absolute disaster. Second, while Sarah Palin resigned early, the American people have the attention span of a gnat, the American people will be more concerned with what policies she advocates in 2012 and not what occured in Alaska in 2009. Third, Sarah Palin is positioning herself as both the anti-Obama candidate and the leader of a new conservative GOP. Thus by 2012 when the American people think of the face of the political opposition to Obama, this will be the face of Sarah Palin. Third, Sarah Palin is the second most well known American political figure and the most well known Republican on the planet. Fourth, the next election will be a referendum on Obama's past actions, not on Sarah Palin's. Fifth, back in 1976 and in 1980 we heard all too often how Ronald Reagan was totally "unelectable" and whom does history remember now.

If, Allen, Sarah Palin didn't have "the

capacity for the job" or if she had "no chance" or if "Americans just won't vote for a woman POTUS," we would now be witnessing the in-the-Obama-tank media attacking her like hyenas. The reason why we don't here from them about Guliani, Huckabee or Romney is precisely because these media folks aren't worried about them.

Meanwhile, a focus on ANY candidate for prexy in 2012 seems to me to be reality avoidance. The country is on an irrevocable train ride toward becoming 20th-century Argentina.
