Conservative Frustration

I know what you are saying... Folks all over have been saying for some time that we need a real Reagan conservative. Fred Thompson fits the bill on the issues and he has my vote. He is a no-nonsense kind of guy and I like that in a leader. He's not worried about "winning the hearts and minds" so much as just telling it like it is.

I think the appeal for Huckabee is his "likeability" factor. He has one of those soothing funeral home director voices that he probably acquired during his years in the pulpit. (I doubt he ever preached fire and brimstone.) People are being lulled by the sound of his voice- and overlooking the substance in what he is saying as well as his past record. Not only did he have a liberal agenda as governor of Arkansas, but according to some on-line reports I've read about him when he was president of the Arkansas SBC- he was liberal in that, too. People need to start looking at the facts.

As for McCain- I would say it is the respect they have for his service to our country. And I have a great deal of respect for him because of that as well. But I still disagree with him on some major issues AND the McCain-Feingold Act really bothers me.

I would ask people who are considering Huckabee, to look past his pleasant demeanor and his smile-
look at his record. You can find it everywhere on line. It is not conservative.

The Republicans are COUNTING on you being stupid this year.
