Terrorists want Democrats to win

First of all, I got news for you - it's not just the terrorists, it's practically the whole world who wants the Democrats to win. Secondly, we're in a really bad situation right now - we're screwed if we leave or if we stay. If we stay, we're a breeding ground for terrorists. Our best bet would appear to either to reduce our ground force so there are less targets in Iraq, or drastically increase our troops in hopes that somehow that will help us "win", though I still haven't seen a good definition of what winning means over there.
In either event, The current administration has shown no sign of altering the current strategy, despite rhetorical feints toward change. You're not going to get anything but slow failure out of the present administration and congress.

... and that's what will happen if Democrats win. Sudden, drastic troop redeployment is victory for the terrorists; it's what Nasrallah wants. It means we're giving up the chance to win (win = set up stable democracy capable of defending itself that would be an ally on the GWOT). If we stay; we continue to fight and kill terrorists. If we leave it turns into a terrorist training ground the likes of which the world has never seen (much worse than the "training ground" you seem to think is there now where the trainess continue to get killed by our troops), the end result of which would be the overthrow of the democracy and the installation of a terrorist government.

The first step of course is choosing to stay.
