Comment on: Common Sense Matters

What Has the Libs’ “Don’t Judge Me” Policy Done for America Lately?

Dear CWS

I just got back to Mike Adams' "Hannah and Her Blisters" article and noticed that Touj, in disparaging my comment (he knows thirty college kids out of millions!) made the point of comparing us as equally clueless. I guess that's a compliment of sorts! Since Luis has ably taken up the challenge there, I don't need to pursue it further. Besides, Touj deliberately (as liberals will do) misdirects the issue.

As you point out there (and here) the issue is about guiding young people in matters of decency, responsibility and citizenship. It's also about protecting and cherishing them when still children. The terrible consequences of not doing so- of neglecting an adult's once-acknowledged prime purpose in life- is ably demonstrated in this column. The very concept of childhood has been tossed in the mud... along with every other concurrent and noble ideal. Dead children and many broken little spirits are the inevitable result.

Thanks, Steve. I appreciate your thoughtful comments

Other Questions

There's a whole lot of questions about that story that will never be asked. Were the people involved on welfare? Its important because the Welfare State has created a class of people who have no responsibilty for any of their actions. These kids just did what they did because they were bored and it was cool. Thats worse than murdering someone because you hate them and you're crazy. This was just a total lack of empathy or attachment to reality.
