A few points of discussion...

You have not defined the fear you say we need to move beyond. I can not be anymore agreeable or open to your ideas if I can not understand what they imply. When you say we need to move beyond our fear and then propose Obama is offering something helpful or new, I have to believe you know what he is and agree with his politics, or you do not know the truth about him and just go for the rhetorical emptiness he preaches.

Barack Obama as much as admits he is a Marxist Socialist who believes in government as the ultimate owner of the world, and the citizens as being tools for that government to use. His use of the phrases "economic justice and "social equality" are straight out of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals, a socialist training manual for "community organizers".

ANYONE putting Obama up as an example of anything decent or Amrican is either a socialsitic communist or does not know enough about Obama to be able to discuss his views seriously. There is no doubt that he is what he says he is, a socialist.
