Delusional Media

Don't forget that arguably Senator John McCain is the Republican nominee for president because the media created him -- against more conservative candidates within the party. While I think the odds are good that McCain will handily win the General Election it will be over the dead body of the mainstream media.

I agree. The MSM and cross over votes in several states definitely played a big part in nominating McCain.

Ironically, it did more harm than the Dems and MSM imagined, as McCain is the candidate most likely to draw cross over blue collar Democrats upset at Obama's elite image. Romney would have had a harder time attracting them. So while the Dems thought they were sticking us with the weakest candidate, they ended up hurting their own chances.

Then again, McCain is pretty far form the ideal Republican candidate, but I will take a bad Republican any day over a good Democrat (except maybe Zell Miller). At least we may have a voice with McCain, we definitely won't with Hillary or Obama.
