Let me be the first to belatedly welcome you to TH. I have thoroughly enjoyed your first three posts and look forward to many more.

Intelligence offers one a basis for learning. Learning is more precious than gold to me. My dad taught me to see a mistake as a chance to learn and repeating a mistake as laziness or a lack of ability. He also said intelligence does not guarantee wisdom which is the ability to use your intelligence effectively. Ignorance is our nation's most expensive liability.
