Your Points Are Well Taken

As an expat who has lived in Mexico for over 13 years, I believe the Mexican people want peace. The borders have been closed for legal immigration from Mexico for a long time. For a Mexican to visit the US, they must own property and be people of means. The Mexicans who sell their souls to cross the borders illegally at the hands of coyotes are usually desperate, ignorant and uneducated.

The drug wars are another story. The drug market is worldwide and is thriving in the US. Billions of dollars are in play. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I don`t condone illegal immigration at all. We comply with their regulations annually. But I do find it hard to condemn those who seek the promise of a "better" life. The borders must be closed and security must be enforced!
