Actually, I happily voted twice for Bush, and don't regret it at all. My criticisms are forward-looking, not hindsight. I criticize Bush on his policies as required and earned on an individual basis, and save my more general criticisms for the Rep party and its loss of cojones and principle in rallying around such pathetic candidates as Bald Hillary and McCrazy.

Since I seem to be the most vocal of the "absolutists", as I've been called more than once, I thought I'd just clear that up.

I agree there is far too much thinking on both sides it would seem that Bush is the enemy and the biggest one in history if you were to believe the loons on the left for goodness sake.

Actually, I was thinking today that things are so out of whack on the left side. People can disagree with policy w/o getting into the insane epithets that get thrown at Bush.

The really strange part is the candidates on the left are actually the biggest enemies we've got going, in this country that is.

It seems to me that people have forgotten that little Islamic problem we still have lurking out there too.

Ahmadinejad wants to usher in the 12th Imam, by creating world turmoil...what's to keep him from provoking his version of armagedon? And Putin is having people who criticize him killed wherever they are in the world...

I didn't get to watch the whole program, but there are a lot of Biblical scholars who believe we are living in the end times.

The thing to watch for is the rebuilding of the jewish temple in Jerusalem...and they are ready to do it. All they need is a "leader" who will make it possible, because the muslim temple is there on the Dome of the Rock, so the controversy would have to be "worked out". We know who that would be...

Theoretically, he'd be in year 6 by now. Israel could well be extinct. A huge surcharge on the price of anything larger than a Prius (unless you're a rich Dem). Gas at $6/gal. Etc.

Conversly, his election could have stimulated -- a la Clinton -- another strengthening by the Reps in both houses of Congress, with a gridlock situation.

Interesting to think about.

It wouldn't surprise me if AhmedNut was trying to provoke the WWIII and get the coming of his imam as quickly as possible. With him and those ayotollahs they are completely insane there.

I heard this morning that the UN is considering a blockade now of Iran's shipping. The price is going up in more ways than one. If they block Iran's oil from getting out, Iran is bound to fall. It really cannot take any further financial squeeze. That is the hope anyway, to avoid a bloody battle with them.

Meanwhile, if the blockade goes up, we will have to suck up very high gas prices for awhile anyway.

I am going to my lounger and take a nap. I feel dead tired. I will check back in on your blog afterwards. This conversation is quite interesting. Also, I just finished writing my first draft for Chapter VII of the Diary and I feel drained.
