Hey "Big guy"!
I live not too far from you and yep, the bears are a problem-especially this year. I go out armed with a 44 magnum handgun just to feed my chickens! It's not a matter of encroachment by humans but of it being a great couple of years for bear breeding. They've eaten all my blueberries and are so audacious as to poop in my driveway in front of my house which is their way of telling me off.
