"Each of us myst decide which of the parties represent us best on the plethora of issues we care about and vote accordingly"
I vote for a person, not a party. But in a general sense, currently most of the issues I can about align with the Democrats.
"Saying the Republican party left you might feel good, but if you act on that by not voting GOP or voting democratic, you are participating in the process of handing the majority to the democrats."
That is exactly what I want to happen. I am putting country before any party.
We need a divided government for the benefit of our country. We need Congress to perform the oversight it is tasked with by the Constitution.
To put this in perspective, Congress spent close 140 hours investigating the Clintons using White House gift lists for potential Democrat donors and 14 hours investigating the failure of our intelligence agencies regarding the WMD claims in Iraq. How is this good for the country? It is great for the GOP, horrible for the country.
"Would you be more of less happy with Nancy Pelosi, Charlie Rangle, John Conyers, Ted Kennedy, Carl Levin and the rest of those losers assuming leadership roles and committee chairmanships?"
If they do not abdicate their Constitutional responsibilities as the current leadership has, then I would be MUCH MUCH happier. How can you defend a leadership that knowingly allowed Foley to stay in office for political expediancy? How is this
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/06/10/AR2005061002110.html showing leadership? Dissent is what created our country.
The current losers are the American people and the lack of leadership and responsibility demonstrated by the current Republican party.
