Paulie, thanks. Well, Goshawk and I will be communicating face to face for right now. We are so far into the middle of nowhere that we are on dial up. Cannot get broadband where we are. We are looking into satellite in the near future but it's very expensive.

This farm is 209 acres. Lots and lots of land. We can see the Appalachians from here. It's absolutely gorgeous and so private. We cannot see neighbors for miles. I plan to post pics once we get Goshawk's camera unpacked. We've been unpacking for weeks between his stuff and my stuff. Everyday is an adventure since we got here. Will write more about the adventures in upcoming articles.

Funny you should say Goshawk "hawked" me since Goshawk is an excellent falconer in actuality among his other talents, such as oil painting, being Mr. Fixit, to name a few.

Also coincidentally we are living in the middle of an Amish community on this farm where they are constantly clip clopping up and down the road in their buggies with horses. Some of the men ride just horses.

As we were setting up to get on the Internet, one of the Amish buggies went by and I was struck by the incongruity of it. Here we are living among people who have not even entered the 20th century and we're trying to get on the Internet. At times, with all the Amish and their buggies I'm not quite sure what century we are actually in. LOL

My first surgery was successful; I had a disk removed, a plate installed and the vertabrae fused. I am very sore, but I have 8 to 12 weeks of vacation now to recover.

JDW, thanks for stopping by and the jokes. I like the Rita Rudner one especially. Mr. Pepperhawk and I already have a blended family of dogs. His two German shepherds and my Corgi so we are well stocked with our dog family. Doing well with it too. My dog already loves Goshawk and I'm working on his shepherds who are not quite as social but we'll get there.

Thing about purple is that it doesn't have to be original, just purple. Doesn't matter what it is as long as it's purple. I don't chew gum, but I have a clear jar of purple gum sitting right here that I bought in 2002. Never even been opened. I will buy things that I don't even know what they are for simply because they are purple! If you have anything purple that you want to keep, Super Glue it in place. I can't even promise anything even then. I'm the one who once grabbed a pony tail holder thing off the head of a three year old.
Of course my physical conditions pretty much limits my trouble making ablities these days.
I can behave myself though. Proof of that is still alive in Florida (for now) and there was a reliable witness. And Raging Bunny heard about it straight from the witness two days later.
I am planning a trip over there already. I'm just not sure when exactly. But I hope next summer.

Perhaps after I get finished hanging the kitchen cabinets, installing the counter tops, refinishing the floor, and fixing the pen my Houdini shepherds keep escaping from, just maybe, maybe , I'll have something to write.

I'm just plum worn out. I ache all over from crawling in attics, standing on ladders scraping borders off of walls; I injured my knee by twisting it the other day. Coming off the attic ladder I punctured my side. My hands are all torn up repairing my shepherds pen. And, I have to retrain Dakota, Mrs. Pepperhawk's dog.

As you can see, I'm up to my elbows in chores and more chores. But, I'll never go back to being in that LA cesspool. Love it here and Mrs. Pepperhawk is the sweetest woman on earth. In answer to Crawfish, that piece of candy is mighty good and I caught her. She ain't gettin away from me now. Not that she wants to get away from me. I make sure of that by treating her like a queen. But, that's just the type of man I am. My woman is my priority. Like I said, "if she ain't happy, you ain't happy", and I make darn sure she's happy.

Of course, she spoils me too and I'm gettin awful used to that.
