Wrong to vote
Your "lesser of two evils" argument is saddly lacking in an understanding of what is going on in Washington. One word explains it all: Misdirection.
We hear on the news, all those issues that Republicans and Democrats are arguing about. But I care not what they are arguing about. The danger to this Country is WHAT THEY AGREE ON! And they agree on a huge out of control Federal Beuracracy cradle to grave welfare state. If you think the Republicans will protect you from those mean ol' terrorists better than Democrats will, you have been fooled by misdirection. All the Democrats voted FOR the war.
When you vote for "the lesser of two evils" it is like being handed a basket with two rotten apples in it, and being told to eat the one with the fewest worms. And even worse, when you vote for, say, Republicans, and they create huge new Federal Agencies and Entitlement programs, you are enabling them to claim that YOU WANT a huge Federal Government. The proof, is that you voted for it! So, you ask me to vote FOR a huge out of control Federal Beuracracy that respects NONE of my rights and NO limits on its power, when you ask me to vote either R or D. We must vote third party to change ANYTHING.

jdieter has not a clue...
...about what it is wot live in NY (lived outside Utica from '79 to '84) or MA (from '84 until now). Voting for 3rd party always means voting for the Democrats - ALWAYS! We in the NE liberal states mostly have to hold our nose when we walk into the voting booth. However, to let the Dems, who are more socialist in the NE then any where else, gain control would be far worse then the whiny pants liberal Republicans. At least they have some semblance of fiscal conservatism. Yes, the Repubs have increased spending and waste - but think how this would have increased exponentially under the Dems. And the mdia cheering section would have gone right along with it and blamed Conservatives and tax cuts for the deficit. You be the political purists and put the Dems in power if you want to. I love my country more then that.
Having said all of this, I will not cry when Licoln Chaffee is defeated. He is a useless turd anyway.
