How true it is...

We as pilots take them BLAME for wanting to improve the Salem Community and bring furhter development in the area with monies provided by our fuel taxes NOT local taxes. The cost to the local Salem City government and local taxpayers is less than 2.5% of the total estimated 18 million dollar investment that in the end will be offset by matching land donations. Net result a new 18 million dollar airport at no cost to any taxpayer, but instead funded by fuel use taxes paid for by Pilots. So if you want to call the local WHINE LINE at least get your facts straight.
