God and Bush II

Really???????

Richard Clark’s book is eve'"n a more damning indictment since he lays out the case that Bush II’s poor policies made us more susceptible to 9/11. Most Republicans can even justify the outing of Valerie Plame as a CIA agent since her husband was a “traitor.” Forget what dangers that posed to Americans. Similarly, Abu Ghareb was a harmless fraternity style prank. No accountability whatsoever."

1. Richard Clark wanted to get paid.
2. Valerie Plame did not enjoy protection under the law the so called investigation was about, and the big crime was Scooter Libby memory issues. No prob if you're a Democrat.

"I wonder how many Republicans really believe that God wanted the U.S. to invade Iraq. If God wanted this, then there is a good case that God is a Muslim (or Allah) since the group that paid the heaviest price in Iraq was the Christian community."

None. If you were a big picture kind of guy you could see the long term strategy. It is a risk any way you slice it. However, I defy anyone to show where 1 nation effectively put in place an entirely new government with less loss of life. Use only US military stats over 30 years and you will be shcked at the amazing thing our military did.

Oops – I forgot that “everyone knows” that “they” are all radical Muslims. So, “they” got what “they” deserved. If you question that, you obviously “hate America” and are “negative.”

What?

The Christian community in Iraq has been destroyed. It happened after we invaded. This community thrived for 1500 years, now half are gone, thousands dead and the rest worship in hiding.

So Clark is just a liar? The PDB said what it said. Counter-terrism was de-emphasized by Bush (it was subordinated to a lower political place). There were lots of signs in the Spring and Summer of 2001 that should have instilled action.

You do not know history at all. When the U.S. deposed Allende in Chile (behind the scenes) there was much of a lower loss of life. How about our invasion of Panama? For that matter, the Soviet invasion of Czecholslovakia had less loss of life.

Can you seriously support the fact that Bin Laden "does not matter" -- 7+ years later and he is still free? 3 Trillion on this war that Iraq's oil was supposed to pay for.

The last part "Oops" involves sarcasm -- very few Americans understand that Iraq had a thriving Christian community until after we invaded. Sadaam may have been brutal, but he did not allow the destruction of that community.
