That's Not What Makes a Hero
GWB ran as a conservative, yet he has often governed from the left. His approval numbers are dismal because he is hated on the left and rejected by the right.
He is rejected for exactly the opposite of what you claim is his strength; he hasn't made decisions based on what is right, he has abandoned conservatism and backs down on a weekly basis.
He is the ruination of the permanent GOP majority.
If he is anybody's hero, he should be the left's hero... he has singlehandedly revived a shrinking and imploding Democratic Party.

George W not a hero?
I didn't realize that the Republican party was so fragile to be ruined by just one man! Wow! George has more power than I thought. And.. he's also revived the Democratice party, did you say? Wow! George, is one power house of a guy. My hero still!!!!
It's amazing to me that one man could be the end of all that we know and hold dear, on the left and the right! This one man, one man, mind you is ruining the fragility of the whole world!!!! How is he doing that?
His approval numbers are down. So? What does that mean? That the 500 people that some group called, the majority of those people, aren't impressed with George. That 500 speaks for the whole country? Well, they don't speak for me!!!
I don't think that the world is as fragile as you seem to think, I could be wr---, but I'm willing to take that chance. And. I don't think that one man, can be the ruination of everything. Sorry.
