Where Can We Work For Conservatism?

Sanity, I'd like a suggestion from you as how to proceed with discussions about Conservatism that call into question the actions of Republicans. I support the President and the party, and I'm not interested in tearing them down. But if we can't speak our minds about what we disagree with, isn't that approaching thought control? Just to let you know, I do understand what you and Sandra Wise are saying, I'm trying to figure out where it's appropriate to air my grievances with Republicans who aren't Conservative. Thanks.

I would comment Dave

IF I COULD READ YOUR POST!

What is it with this? Geez, how does anyone carry on a conversation when half the post either disappear or not show up?

Wow Dave, your post showed up

I'm off, sorry, I really do have to make time for blogging and may do a post on what conservatives can do later.

But let me leave you with a thought.

I spent some 4 years arguing just that point with a Liberal colleague.

"I'm a real friend," he insisted, "friends tell friends the truth".

"No," I countered, "Enemies are only too happy to tell you the 'truth' about your faults...friends are SELECTIVE on which 'truths' they discuss with you."

Friends or Allies also have difficulty finding fault. Truly. If Love is Blind, Loyalty keeps getting in the way of how friends see each other.

I am always leery of people who feels "compelled" to hurt someone they claim to care about.

Does this mean that we never disagree with family, friends, and God and country?

Of course not. But only VERY reluctantly and before we listen to those who claim to be on our side, we MAKE SURE THEY ARE ON OUR SIDE.

Think about those posters and radio talk show hosts and pundits...and seriously ask, if they did not claim to be conservatives...would you think, by the way they talk that they were...

Liberals?
