HERE'S A FUN IDEA! LET'S BE EUROPE!

I'm no expert on Germany, but I do have memories from learning geography. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Germany is not all of Europe, is it? Maybe I have to consult a map, but I thought there were other countries in Europe, too. Hard to remember. But since you are apparently an expert on Europe, maybe you could teach us whether there are other countries there and whether they have healthcare systems, too.

Thanks for educating us, Jan! You are clearly brilliant!

Well, Benjamin!

I see you are making another foray into sarcasm. Good for you! Aren't you clever. So glad I didn't miss this entirely. Germany is certainly not all of Europe! You got that right too. Holland, where I have dear friends, is practicing euthanasia, and doctors are known to help the patient along with his decision should he take too long or cost too much as he is deliberating whether to go now or later. Sweden is rationing care to the point of torture, because of course it cannot afford its ubiquitous socialist programs unless it eliminates some of the dead weight (people) using up all the resources. Britain has that pesky National Board to decide if one is worth treating or not. If one is, one may wait two years to actually receive said treatment. The hope is, methinks, that one will die before the badly named National Health Service has to expend one shilling on you. Germany, as it happens, is actually slightly better off because they do not at this time have such a board of bureaucrats deciding the fate of the hapless patient. However, their resources are rapidly declining along with the population of Germans, so in the future...we shall see. And I fear we shall also see such antics here.
