A well documented story of who masterminded the travesty would make good reading; and we could gain some insight into GOP attitudes and motives. Conservatives possible would understand why they have never been acceptable to true Republicans.

Were the Palin forces involved? Why would Bush take such a risk? What was the obective? We can reason that, given his age, no one would risk going to jail just to get Ted out of office.
