As you say, the whole situation is interesting. While we have to say Foley is a loser and should be shunned if not prosecuted, the timing and circumstances of their release is questionable. But, it was either Ace or Jawa who posted that the IM's through google are all logged and kept on their servers and retrievable. But...

I think it was likely saved for future use by a page or operative who was awaiting the right time. But 2003 and 2005 messages? Strange to wait so long. I hope someday we know.
